WoW! It's been over a month since I have blogged! Shame on me! I feel bad but married life has definately taken over. I can't even imagine having kids right now. geez! I am always so busy! Well things ARE starting to settle down for us...we FINALLY completed decorating our apartment! Finished writing all of our thank you cards! YES!! Thank you! haha. Our trip to Roaring River was so much fun! I had so much fun showing Seth all the things that we do. All of the tradition that we have...the stories...all that good stuff. Seth really enjoyed it! But it went by so fast! :(
I have to tell this story!...hint...the reason for this blog. Yesterday...well maybe I should go back in time. Back to when I was a little girl. I'd say about 5 or so. My mom use to work at an orthodontist office in Irving. In the backyard of the office they had alot of trees...very pretty scenery. WELL they also had the occasional animals running through. Lots of birds and 1 squirrel. We use to feed the squirrel to make it stay. Like a wild pet! I named the squirrel Steve! I don't know where it came from. Maybe it just looked like a Steve to me? hehe. Who knows. Well one day Steve ran off. He was no where to be found! I was so sad. I looked for Steve...called Steve's name but he never came. I wanted Steve to come back so bad! I don't really know where I got this. I think it was just that I hoped that it was him...but every squirrel that I saw I called him Steve. haha. So it has kind of come into this little family thing. My mom, dad, and now Seth always call squirrels... Steve. Now lets move forward....YESTERDAY...me and Seth were coming home. We were driving through our apartment complex and we saw a little Steve running across the road. (This always makes me nervous because I'm always scared some people will hit them. And someone almost hit one about a week ago but Seth assured me that he was ok and that he made it across the street safely. Whew! That was a close one!) Anywho, Steve was running across the street. I was like OO! Steve's carrying...! And what does my husband do!!! HE revvs his engine and speeds up!! Oh my gosh!! What what he thinking!! It scared both me and Steve! Poor little Steve! Hub-Hubs in trouble! End of story! (O yes...Seth did not hit Steve...I hit Seth ;) haha...and Steve was carrying a nut across the street) Poor Steve!

Off off and away!! for a little while anywho... :D
I am pretty excited about this weekend. Me, Seth, and my dad are taking a small trip to a small city. We are going camping and fishing! This is a family tradition that we have and I am so excited to show Seth EVERYTHING! I mean their is not much to do but it's very peaceful and quiet. I really enjoy it. We try to go every year when we can but for the past few years we have not been able to go. I had school, my dad had work, and then I had work. I am STOKED!! I love fishing in the morning when the siren sounds and all the fish start biting anything and everything. So fun! Then going to the tent to take a nap. It's all so peaceful to me. My dad told me that it's suppose to be pretty cold but hopefully we will be able to tough it out. haha. The last time me and my dad went we had thunderstorms for about 3 night in a row. We were up in the middle of the night looking out of the tent wondering if we were going to have to pack up and leave. A guy came by and told us that if the siren went off then we would have 10 minutes to get out and then it would come a floodin! Scarrrryyy! So hopefully we can triumph cold weather. Guess what I finally have for you....!!!! My pics from the big day!!! We had so many great pics but here are a few!drum roll plz....

1 month!
We have been married almost one month!! EKS! haha. I would give married life an A+ during our first month. I know that's probably normal but I think it's because I didn't expect it to be this good. Everyone is like...welcome to misery blah blah blah. But it's what you make it. And so far it has been great! Working together and communication is the key. Seth has been helping me alot around the house and yes we are still setting everything up! Taking forever right. haha. I think everyone that knows me would be very impressed to know that I have been cooking! :D woohoo! Yes I have! I'm not so creative yet. I am still going through my cookbooks. Man! They have some good looking stuff in there! And the best part is Seth is loving it! lol. I honestly thought he would hate my food. Spit it out on the floor. But he has been enjoying it and eating my portions too! yeah for me! Today my dad came over for a little bit to hang out. I made him lunch! Can you believe it. AND...drum roll.... I officially baked! haha. My dad loved it! He said it was very good! We set up our computer desk in our spare room. Looks great! Can't wait to get everything set up! haha. All we have are boxes and boxes. We cleaned out a little so atleast you can walk in the room but it's a mess! The last room to set up. I'm excited! Our little 'home' is starting to look nice. :)

If you don't know me and Seth got married!! July 18, 2009 I married my best friend and my lover! The wedding was absolutely fabulous! It was so pretty. Everything was perfect! O yes...hehe...except the cake fell. But it was no biggie. It just scared me but I was able to move out of the way quick enough that not one drop got on me or the dress. We were testing out gravity...and it works! hehe. Everyone had a blast! And it was so beautiful. It was perfect. More than what I ever imagined my wedding to be. And all thanks to my wedding planner...my momma! :D When we get pics I will post them up.
Today is our 2 week anniversary! I would say that married life has been GREAT! I mean der...Seth is the best man ever! I could not ask for more and I know that I am very lucky to have in my life and now as my husband. OOO Weird! I'm not use to that! We left to go on our honeymoon on Monday (July 20) to St. Lucia. One problemo...we got stuck in Puerto Rico for 2 days! We absolutely hated it and will probably never go back! I will not go into details on why we didn't like it. Good news is that we did finally make it to St. Lucia! And we got our stay extended a couple more days so the time that we expected to stay we did get to fulfill all that. We stayed for 6 nights :D And had an absolute blast! It is so beautiful! Geezzzzz!! I loved it! I would totally recommend everyone to go there! It's so pretty! We went to The Pitons, botanical gardens (although all of St. Lucia looked like the botanical gardens to me) and waterfall, the walk-in volcano, went snorkeling, kayaking, and our favorite the zipline! Seth reserved us our very own special candlelight dinner but first suprised me with flowers and chocolates on the bed with some champagne. (See best hub-hub ever!) We had an amazing time! It was very relaxing and very much needed. I absolutely loved it! But now it's back to reality. As soon as we got back we started moving into our apartment! It's such a mess but we are slowly putting things together. I can see that it will take awhile. haha. I think that this has been the hardest part for me...moving out. I'm not like most kids who can't wait to go off to college or get married so they can get away from their parents. That has never been a perogative of mine. As you can tell I've always lived with my dad and that has been by choice. I never left home to go to school and I was very blessed and graduated from a great university! I have a great relationship with my parents...both my mom and dad. I have a very very close bond with my dad. It's nothing that I am ashamed of. It's something I am very proud of because most kids will never be able to experience that kind of love. So leaving home has been a bit rough on me. That's the home that I have lived in since I was 6 years old. Alot of memories there. But the best part is that Seth has been very understanding. He left home a week after he graduated high school for bootcamp. hehe. When he talks about his story it makes me feel a little bit better :) Atleast he understands. It's just hard leaving home. All the changes you have to go through. But I am very excited about the new chapter in my life and I will definately keep you guys updated. Here are a few pics from our honeymoon...

4 more days!!
4 more days till the big day!! YEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!! I'm so excited. People are starting to come into town today. I am so excited! So far I'm not nervous yet but I'm sure I will get to that place soon enough. I went to breakfast with an old friend of mine today. I had so much fun! haha. I know we are young but its been a VERY long time since I have seen her. It has been atleast over 10 years. We went to middle school together and then she went to a private school for her high school years. So it has been over 10 years! Oh my goodness I feel sssooo old! :( haha. But we had a blast! She just recently got married so as you can imagine our conversation was filled with our men and wedding planning! I really have enjoyed the wedding planning process. It has been so much fun. You get to put your own personality into it. And we weren't rushed. We have been planning this for over a year. It was a very fun and relaxing time :) I can't wait till the big day to see it all come together! Only 4 more days!

One last night of freedom!
As they always say...it's your one last night of freedom! I celebrated my bachelorette party on Saturday!! I had a blast! It was so much fun. It was very small but we had alot of fun and had some good laughs. LeighAnn made me a veil to wear! :D I loved it! We went to Dave & Busters...one of my favorite places! Ate some dinner and played alot of games. I had bought some candy for us to munch on. One was pop rocks thinking they would be good. EW! They were so gross! And SO sour! I was not expecting that at all! I love playing the games! I am such a little kid in there! We played this jump roping game that I had never played before. It was so fun! Except that I kept jumping off the platform. :( So I lost. But over all I did good. hehe. Of course I had to go and play basketball. Not the little ones but they have 2 larger ones. Normal size goals I guess I should say. I always have to play! And I won! (sorry LeighAnn) And NO I didn't cheat! hehe. I'm pretty good at it. Ok I guess. Seth figured that out when we played for the first time together. He thought he would just woop on me...hehe...it was the other way around. I think he was pretty shocked. lol. At the end of the night we picked out our prizes. I donated a stuffed animal (Elmo) to Children's Hospital and me and Leighann got these hot tiger striped ties! woohoo! I got Shirley a Texas Longhorn stuffed animal. She's a big fan of UT. And that was the end of our night!
